  Cape Perpetua, named by the famed Captain Cook while searching for the mouth of the Columbia River. Cape Perpetua has much to offer, from a leasurely stroll to the tide pools, whale watching, marveling at nature's wonders such as Spouting Horn and Thor's Well (my favourite). There is also a short hike to the Giant Spruce, the largest sitka spruce on the Oregon Coast. You can drive to the top to a magnificent view of Cape Perpetua and the Oregon Coast from a thousand feet up. If you like to stay a while, there is a campground. If your interested in Long Distance Hiking, the 425 mile Oregon Coast Trail passes through here as well. A little something for everyone. You will not be disappointed
