  The Oregon coast never gets old for me. Been coming down for decades and Perpetua has a fantastic high viewpoint that is accessible via the trail or by driving up. Highly recommended.

  I've driven by Cape Perpetua many times but never stopped for awhile. It's definitely worth a day trip from Portland, especially if you're tying on visiting nearby Yachats. A limited number of trails but every one has a memorable destination: the giant Sitka Spruce, the Thor's Well/Spouting Horn/Devil's Churn walk, and then the hike up to the top of the cape itself provides great views (and you can drive up to the lookout if you're short on time but the hike to the top makes it feel so much more valuable).
